Long Island Regional Envirothon

19th Annual Long Island Regional Envirothon


On Tuesday, April 25th, 2017, the Nassau and Suffolk County Soil and Water Conservation Districts will be hosted their 19th Annual Long Island Regional Envirothon. The Long Island Regional Envirothon is an environmental studies competition for Long Island High School students.  The event was held at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, and the current issue was be "Agricultural Soil & Water Conservation Stewardship". 

We would like to give a special thanks to our sponsors and all those that made this event possible. Congratulations to the winning teams, Great Neck South High School (Nassau) and Sachem North High School (Suffolk), who both placed first in their counties!


20th Annual Long Island Regional Envirothon

Next year's Long Island Regional Envirothon will be held on April 25th, 2018, at the USDAN Center for the Creative and Performing Arts.

The current issue will be "Western Rangeland"

On April 20th, 2016 Suffolk County and Nassau County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted its 18th Annual Long Island Envirothon at the USDAN Center for the Creative and Performing Arts.  The current issue for this year was “Invasive Species: A Challenge to the Environment, Economy and Society”.  We would like to give a special thanks to our sponsors and all those that made this event possible. Congratulations to the 2016 Long Island Envirothon winners, Well Done!
